Caesarean Section (C-Section) Surgery: Procedure and Realities
• Tim Kelas Antenatal & Postnatal
C-Sections are classified into ‘Elective’ (deliberately pre-planned due to malpresentation/placenta barriers) or ‘Emergency’ (invoked immediately when fetal distress breaches normal delivery timelines).
Events Orchestrating The Operating Theatre (OT)
- A Spinal Anesthesia Block is initiated natively in your lower spine (immobility below the waistline is instantaneous whilst retaining full mental consciousness).
- Urinary Catheters are hooked up surgically.
- An operative screen is erected sealing your visual proximity.
- A 10cm horizontal lateral incision (‘Bikini Cut’) rapidly retrieves the baby under 15 minutes.
- Reconstructive suturing concludes the process stretching approximately 45 further minutes.
Is It Torturous?
You bypass pain absolutely during the surgery. You exclusively experience immense physical “pressures” and “tugging” sensations as the obstetrician aggressively maneuvers the baby out.
