Opening your “Pink Book” (Antenatal Record Book) is the most critical step for an expecting mother in Malaysia. This handbook documents your entire pregnancy journey.
When is the Best Time?
The Ministry of Health (KKM) advises expectant mothers to register for the Pink Book between Week 9 and Week 12 of their pregnancy.
Checklist of Required Documents
Bring along the following documents:
- Original Identification Cards (MyKad).
- Photocopies of the IDs.
- Original and copy of Marriage Certificate.
- Recent utility bill to prove residential address.
- Previous ultrasound scans (if any).
Registration Procedure
- Height, weight, and BMI checks.
- Urine sampling and blood drawing.
- Full physical consultation.
